The Village at Palisades Tahoe is set to become a hub for environmental advocacy and community engagement as it hosts the annual Tahoe Truckee Earth Day on Saturday, April 25, 2026. According to a press release reported by SnowBrains, the event invites attendees to participate in a day dedicated to sustainability and local ecological stewardship.
Running from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., the festival is free to the public and offers a variety of programming designed for all ages. The Tahoe Earth Day Foundation, which presents the event, has curated a schedule that balances educational outreach with entertainment. Visitors can interact with local vendors and non-profit organizations to learn about practical sustainability habits, including composting, renewable energy solutions, and waste reduction.
A major highlight of this year’s gathering is the support for the Sierra Watershed Education Partnerships (SWEP). As the organization celebrates 30 years of promoting regional environmental stewardship, attendees are encouraged to participate in a raffle. Proceeds from these tickets are earmarked to help SWEP continue its mission of connecting students with local environmental issues and solutions.
The event programming includes:
- 11:00 a.m.: SWEP Raffle ticket sales begin at the Events Plaza.
- 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.: Live musical performance by Carnival Dogs.
- 2:15 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.: The Envirolution Trashion Show, showcasing creative upcycled fashion.
- 3:15 p.m.: The official SWEP raffle drawing.
- 3:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.: Live musical performance by Dust in My Coffee.
By bringing together businesses, educators, and community members, the event serves as both a celebration and a call to action for the Tahoe-Truckee region. Whether through learning about innovative green products or enjoying live music in the heart of the village, organizers aim to inspire long-term environmental commitment among those who call the mountains home.
